b. CSI
C. Medium

THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER is one of the all time saddest movies ever made. The first time I saw it, I'd gone with a friend and told her if she cried and embarrassed me, I'd leave. Well, would you believe about halfway through, I started crying and couldn't stop? I boohooed through the rest of the film and for hours afterwards. It was just so incredibly poignant and heart-breaking. I've never watched it again. The only other movie that came close to that level of sadness for me was SOPHIE'S CHOICE, another film that I only watched once.

I did it with Sophie's Choice also. What a heartbreaking tale. Both were excellent films, but you couldn't watch them very often unless you wanted to cry for hours afterwards.
