Hi, everyone. Back in the saddle again.

I've been so busy, busy, busy. I hardly have time to sleep. I wish I could give up eating. :) Anyway, I wanted to say, 'hey' and see how you all are. I'm a terrible friend lately. I'm beginning to slow down a little, so I guess almost 70 makes things different.

Someone on the Facebook AO3 posted that she thought she would have to give up writing for her fandom because she was like 42 years old. I laughed and then told her how friends I have that are older than that that still write and she was pleased. I told her about Bluewolf and I guessed that she's 83, but I could be wrong. This made that girls night. Then she asked me how old I was and I told her 69. And she was shocked. She had no idea people continued to write in their fandoms for years and years.

You all know that I live in Arizona, right? Well for the last months, we've been in the triple digits and hot, hot, hot. It's a dry heat, and won't bother you as much. LOL 115? Really? Anyhow, we started our monsoon season for the next two and a half months. Today is was a balmy 79 degrees. I love the monsoon. Makes my hair curly but I can live with that. It's so nice with the rain and the sun but not the heat. We didn't have much monsoon last year. But we're making up for it this year. Every day for over a week it's rained. The mountains needed it and so did our homes. Even the cacti needed it. I have an old tee shirt that has a skeleton on it, laying in a lawn chair, with the sun beating on him and it said, "But it's a dry heat!" Still cracks me up. Bluewolf, you would even like the weather during monsoons. It's not unbearable. I wonder if Australia gets monsoons. Does anyone know? Their weather is very close to ours, just flipped around. We have winter, they have summer. Something like that.

Am I boring you all to death? I vowed to write a post today and actually, I wrote three. Woot. Maybe life will slow for this old woman.

Sam is getting ready to start the tenth grade. She is turning into a sweet and loving individual. We just love her to death. Two years ago, I wouldn't have said that. Puberty sucks for them and us. Here is the latest picture I have of Sam. Sam said she's going to take some tomorrow, but here is one that's six months old.

I would like to ask all of you to say a little prayer for my grandson, Vincent. He's having some bad luck lately and could use some help. Prayers are needed. Thanks.

Did I tell you that I used to be a carer for Developmentally Disabled Adults. I did this for about 12 years and loved every minute of it. But boy did it take a tole on my already bad back. So when I retired, I went instead to the groups homes and visited with old clients and did things with them . But I also took Vincent when he was younger and now I take Sam. She's so good about it. She decided she wants to be like me when she graduates. So instead of college she'll go to a trade school and go from there. It's a wonderful life for the clients and us. The only difference, she wants to work with children, not adults. I'll be able to watch her be happy like I was. I remember when I left they had a party for me and the clients (there were 5 of them), all cried because I would never see them again. Little sillies, didn't know that you could visit. LOL But the funny part was the people I worked for, the company, they cried when I left. LOL Makes me feel good.

Is everyone sleeping now? Just save this post and read it when you have insomnia. LOL I feel better now that I have posted something. I Miss you all and hope you're all doing well.

Be well my sweets.

LOve, Patt

PS: Now you'll see how old I look. I took this picture tonight. IMG_1818
