Update: It's Shingles and one of them got MRSA or staff (They're doing tests) and he has blood poisoning, so he's on two anti-biotics and has to rest for however long. They had to lance the damn thing it was so big and drain it. I can't believe he let it go that long without saying something to us. Shannon is on her way home now and I"ll hear all about the morning. God, we're dragging butt today. At least he's on meds now and we can stop worrying for now. They drew a line on his arm and said if the red line goes above that he has to get to the hospital right away. So he's still not out of the woods yet. We'll see how he does today.
Updating the Update: Well, I went to go and see Vincent this morning, after no sleep whatsoever and he looks horrible. I can't believe they didn't admit him to the hospital. They drew a line with a permanent marker to show how far the red line could go on his arm and it's already gone three inches above it. So Shannon is taking him back to the emergency room again and hopefully this time, they'll admit him for a couple of days. The other arm is starting too, so it needs to be taken care of also. He's so upset, he's missing all of this work and has no sick time coming, so he doesn't know what he's going to do about anything. Not to mention he's not supposed to be around a lot of people until he's been on the antibiotics for three days and he's going to have to go back to the ER and very contagious. It's like a vicious circle. Poor thing, he misses his little girl and he hasn't seen her in a week. Thank god for that. She was diagnosed with chicken pox last week and today her mom took her back to see if she has what Vincent has. We think Vincent got the shingles from Jalya's chicken pox. But not certain. The hole in his arm is alarming. You know, I might go with Shannon. Got to get ready. I'll keep you all posted.
Hopeful final update:
We went over to take him to the ER and he had taken two doses of his meds and soaked in epson salt and an oatmeal bath and he was much, much better. We panicked for nothing. You know, you see those red lines and you just panic. But the line was down below the permanent marker, so he's doing just fine. He's on two different kinds of antibiotics. Don't you find that strange? But whatever works. He said he's watching the line really closely, so I think it's all under control. His baby girl had to have her big sore lanced and Vincent just feels horrible. No one else around them has it, so we still don't know what caused all of this. Looks like everything will be just fine. Thank you everyone for listening, reading and just being here for me.
