I noticed a blister type lump on the side of my tongue over three weeks ago. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said I have to see a specialist, because he wants to be sure it's nothing bad. Geeze, I don't want it to be anything bad either. I'm hoping there is some simple explanation for it and this new doctor finds it out. The soonest I could get it was the 19th. So until then, I just wait. I keep waiting for the cyst-type lump to leave, but it's not. I need this like another hole in the head. I've got so many things on my mind for this coming up week that it will probably be good. I don't want to sit and fret over something that will probably turn out to be simple to explain. Gosh, I always have such good things to share on facebook, don't I? LOL

On a happier note, I finished both of my Sentinel Big Bang stories and I think they're the best that I've ever written. To some, this won't seem like a very good endorsement, but for me, it's super-cool. I'm so happy to have them done and out of the way. :)

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Hugs, Patt

hey Patt. First of all - LOVING your lj header. Second - congrats on getting the house. I saw the post but we rushing out to work and never got around to going back and commenting.

Thirdly - you were right to get it checked out - but more often than not, these things turn out to be nothing. It wont stop you worrying, of course, but yeah, you need your energy focused on all the other stuff right now. I'm crossing all appendages and saying a prayer that all will be fine

Thank you, Nicci. I'm sure it's nothing, but I do need to check it out, since I didn't finish the medical degree myself. Bahahahahaha. My hubster calls me Doctor Darrow. LOL

Hugs, Patt

Good for you for getting it checked out. It's too bad you have to wait another couple of weeks to see the specialist, but that's the medical profession for you. Keeping fingers crossed that it's nothing more than a cyst.

And congrats on getting your story done! That you're pleased with them is the best thing. *hugs*

I know, Grey, I was just thinking the same thing when I heard about your Aunt and Uncle. *sigh* How are they doing?
Aug. 6th, 2011 05:07 pm (UTC)
Hanging in there. My one uncle comes home from rehab on Monday.

The aunt who had surgery, well, she's doing as well as can be expected.

(((((Aunt))))) (((((Grey))))) I hope things go well for her and your uncle.

Thanks. I appreciate that. She was in a lot of pain this morning, but she's got a pump now and that should help until her body heals more. I just hope everything does heal and she's able to adjust to having the colostomy. That's going to be very, very difficult.

Hope the lump isn't anything serious.
Great that your BB stories are finished! I look forward to reading them.

You already read them. LOL It's because of you that they were able to be put in this year. :) Thank you again.

Final, completed versions, Patt. Final completed versions.

Please take care and keep us updated.

It is probably just what you think, a cyst. But better to have it checked.

I know, he's just really careful and I can't blame him for that.
Aug. 6th, 2011 04:00 pm (UTC)
Gee, I'll keep my fingers crossed and it's good that you went to the doctor about it.

And congrats on finishing TSBB.

Thank you, Laurie. How is your story coming along?
Aug. 6th, 2011 05:19 pm (UTC)
Well, I actually have two, since the timing worked out for one that I'd written a while ago, but hadn't gotten beta'ed. It's beta'ed now, and I'm just going through it for revisions before I send it to the Moonridge winner. Mag 7/TS sentinels are known bonding fic, 71,000 words. Still have to come up with a title.

The other one, the one I signed up to do,(AU, sequel to A Sea Change) is at 9,000 words, and about half done. I was working on it today, but I'm going to have to stop and clean the house. We've got friends coming from out of state to stay with us for tonight through Monday morning.

Anyway, take care of that tongue.

I like crossovers with Mag7. Can't wait to read it. And I'm really looking forward to the Sea Change one. That's going to make everyone happy to see. Even though it's going to be angsty. Have fun with your friends. :)
