News about Vincent.

Vincent is our 22 year old grandson. He's such a doll baby and I've watched him suffer for almost a year now with pain in his stomach. They took out his gall bladder because it was diseased only to have the pain come back. So he figured it was just part of life. I talked him into using his great insurance from work and see a doctor. He said that Vincent has a hernia in between his rib cage that has caused spinal damage too. Vincent is 6'1" and stoops like you wouldn't believe. People don't even know he's that tall. The doctor said he's ruined his back and it's going to take a lot of physical therapy to get it back to normal, or close to normal. He can't promise him anything. He couldn't believe that the poor kid has walked around with this for so long. Vincent went to Urgent Care three times when the pain was unbearable and no one found anything. Has anyone ever heard of a hernia in the upper stomach area? Vincent said he really liked his doctor and he talked him like he was a big boy. LOL LMAO His words not mine. So anyhow, he starts physical therapy as soon as the x-rays come back. I'm so glad I nagged him into going for a check-up. Poor thing, he's too young to have to suffer already. That comes later in life. :) So please keep him in your good thoughts until he starts to get better.

Hugs, Patt

The poor guy, at least this new doc sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Nice job with the new layout too, very cool!

Yes, we're happy he finally got a doctor that would listen to him. They usually just ignore him and he pays and leaves. It's a shame, really. He's not very agressive.

I'm not as happy with the banner as I would like, so I'm going to redo it and put the lettering down lower. That might help somewhat. Off to work on it now. Thanks for the comp. :)

I like how you staggered the letters in the banner, it's a cool effect. Nice and colourful too, matches the feel and tone of the LJ really well.

Thank you. I wanted bright, but yet warm greens. So that's why I chose this one. :)

Nasty - but at least he'd got a doctor now who has found out what's wrong. Hope the therapy works!

I'm so sorry for him!! I know what it is, suffering for years and years without knowing, and nobody saying or doing anything. At some point you even believe it's in your head! The good thing is that now he knows and he has a good doctor that can do something for him. Of course he's going to suffer, but at least now he knows that something could be done and that, with patience, he's going to be good again! Tell him to hang on, now he's on the good road!! *hugs*

Thank you, CG. He felt better just knowing it wasn't in his head.

{{{{Hugs}}}} Poor thing! That had to be miserable. I hope the therapy works and I'm glad he likes his doctor. That's half the battle of health care right there.

He's so funny, sometimes you forget that he was ever in pain. He's like a stand up comedian that stoops. LOL Poor thing. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Me too. We were very concerned about him and he's so stubborn, he just knew it was all in his head. Poor thing.
