OKay, things are looking less gloomy. :)

I'm sort of sad. I thought the one about Jim and Blair giving back to the earth would be a good themed Ezine, but I've only gotten five emails since I sent out that invitation. :( God, I hope someone writes to me before too long because it's for Moonridge. Like I said before, I really thought the theme would go over better then it has so far. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for some emails soon.

Have a Happy Easter and weekend.

Hugs, Patt

PS: I just heard from another writer that has two stories for us. Woo Hoo. So that puts us at seven now. *g* I'm getting happier. :)

Sorry, mate, but that was one them that didn't speak to me at all. I know we all like to think of Blair as being a new age guy but I just couldn't even think of a way to work it into a fic. Have you thought of changing the theme, making it less narrow? it's a fairly limited scope for a zine to have the entire zine with stories about whether Blar recycles or not *g*

We actually have five stories so far that are done and they are using that theme, so we can't change it now. :( I'm hoping to hear something from some of the writers I sent the invitations too. No one has said no either. Except you and Lyn. You guys told me what was up with you and that was nice of you. :) Everyone else must be having a lot of real life crap. We all know how that goes.

Well, I'm glad you've got 5 at least and hope you get more. (It was just in your LJ entry you said you'd only had two emails about it so I was going by that). I do have a lot of other writing to do but i probably could have bashed one out for you if I'd gotten an idea for it but as I said, the theme just didn't really give me anything. All the best with it though

Yeah the five we have, came in as soon as I told them about the ezine. But since I sent out the new invitations, I've gotten zilch back. At least we have five. Oh man, I forgot Lisa did one. We have six. *g* I've got to change the way I worded it to five have gotten back to us. I'm being rude. *sigh*

Sorry hun, but like Annie, this one didn't speak to me and I had nothing old to offer that would fit.

I've also taken a fanfiction hiatus for the moment to write my first Dosh Novel so most of my fanfiction bunnies have gone on vacation.

Good luck though!

PattRose, Roslyn wondered if people are seeing the theme as too narrow ie like recylcing and suggested a wide variety of possible ideas:

Type of heating used in the Loft
Gas buying and car pooling/choice of trucks v economy cars
Waste not, want not (because people are starving elsewhere – you all remember that parental line).
Purchasing enviro friendly batteries/disposing of others
Natural fibers in clothing/household goods.
Building renovations at the PD or Loft and pushing for green and healthy materials.
Trust funds invested in damaging industries (Ellison issue)
Overpopulation and decisions about having kids.
Buying in Walmart and other cheap import oriented stores. Labor practices and hazardous materials abroad.
Solar panel added to the balcony.
Enviro-terrorism ie animal safety activitists who kill someone

Hope that helps!

Anything that gives back to the planet is open season for the ezine. :) Those are all good suggestions. In the invitation, I put:Energy saving and recycling are the main theme of the newest My Mongoose Ezine, The Many Ways Jim and Blair Give Back to the Planet, The 2009 Moonridge Edition. I figured that everyone would figure out their way of saving the planet and go from there. We'll see what comes in the next month or so. Tell Rosyln I said hello and thanks for the ideas. :)

I have an excellent bunny, Patt but a tough timeframe. When do you have to have the stories by?

July 1st is the deadline. :) That would be super if you could make it by then. :)

Actually, that's longer than I thought I had. I'm not promising, Patt, but you are definitely in with a chance.

That's great, that's all I can ask is a chance. :) What are you working on right now? Something for Moonridge?

I'll refer you to this entry, Patt. It sums up my current arrangements quite well, although you can give less credence now to my threat to bump Mongoose off the list...;-)

Sorry, Patt. Things have been a little rough lately, story-wise, plus I've got family staying now. I promise I'll give it more thought and see what I can come up with.
