Doubt-Meryl Streep and Phillip Seymour Hoffman-Full of angst and wonderful acting. It was out of this world. She deserves the nomination for the best actress for the Academy Awards. Go and see it, I would recommend it highly.
The Reader-Kate Winslett-Very, very sad. I kept getting depressed days afterwards just thinking about it. It was an excellent movie too. I would never watch it again, it upset me too much.
Twilight-I didn't really want to see this, but Pete asked me to go with him, so I did. I turned out loving it and can't wait for the second one. I'm a sicko who loves vampire movies. LOL This one had young people in it, but they didn't bother me at all. I totally enjoyed it.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button-Another one I really hadn't thought about seeing, because it sounded so odd. But Dan asked me to go with him and I did and I will have to thank him over and over again for talking me into it. It was one of the most fantastic movies I've seen in years. I would see it again tomorrow in a heartbeat. It was a very long movie, but I didn't notice because it held my interest the entire time. I'm not giving anything away other then to say "I loved it".
Last Chance Harvey-Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson-THey should both be embarrassed about making this film, it was so horrible, I wanted to leave 20 minutes into it. And at the end we were sorry we didn't leave early. It wasn't funny. It wasn't uplifting. You couldn't feel sorry for either of them and yet you wished you could. The critics liked it I think, but we sure didn't. And I'll never see it when it comes on DVD either. Out of five movies, it was the only bad one that I saw.
Oh, I'm going to see Gran Torino with KC and Maggie this weekend. I can't wait. We ran out of time while I was in Albuquerque. I heard it's really good.
Okay, that's it for now. Everyone have a great week.
