“God, I love the way you fuck me.” Blair was trying to not sound so breathless, and give Jim a bigger head than he already had about his fucking abilities.
“I’m glad you enjoyed…” Jim cleaned them up and pulled Blair into his personal sleeping space.
“And I love this part the most.” Blair cuddled with big Jim Ellison, knowing that Jim loved it as much as he did.
“The most?” Jim asked teasingly.
There was a knock at the door and Jim listened for a minute and said, “Shit… It’s Carolyn. Just stay here and I’ll take care of her.”
“Wait a minute; you’re not leaving me up here like you’re embarrassed. Are you embarrassed?”
“No, I just don’t want to have to tell my ex-wife that I’m sleeping with you, tonight.”
“Let me go answer the door.” Jim got up and started getting dressed.
Blair was faster, he put a robe on and went running down the stairs to open the door. “Hi Carolyn, how are you doing?”
“Oh gosh, did I wake you up?” She asked wondering why Jim hadn’t answered the door.
Jim came walking down the stairs completely dressed and Carolyn smiled at her ex-husband. He was still gorgeous after all of these years. “Hi Jimmy. I wondered if you wanted to go out and have coffee with me.”
Blair didn’t miss a beat and said, “Hang on while I get dressed.” Blair disappeared into the room that used to be his and began getting dressed as quickly as he could.
“Jimmy, why is he getting dressed?”
“Because he might want to come with us, he loves coffee. He’s a coffee junkie, if you must know.” Jim tried to explain as best as he could.
Carolyn batted her eyes at her ex and said, “But I wanted us to have some time alone. We don’t often get to spend time together, right? I mean, how often do I get to Cascade anymore?”
“Well, you see Carolyn, things have changed a little since you left Cascade. Blair and I are together.” He decided to just come right out and tell her and be done with it.
“Oh you have got to be joking! Jimmy, you’re not gay.”
“I beg to differ, Carolyn.”
“Since I was in college. I just didn’t do anything about it for a long while after we were divorced. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.”
Blair came walking out of the bedroom, dressed and ready to go. “I’m set, are we going to the diner or Starbucks?”
“I told her about us, Chief.”
“You did? That’s like ‘so’ cool. Thank you. Carolyn, I hope you understand that you’re always welcome here.”
“Suddenly I don’t feel like coffee at all. I’ll see you next time I’m in town, Jimmy.” Carolyn opened up the door and Jim grabbed her arm.
“Carolyn, please have coffee with us and we’ll talk.” Jim suggested.
“Jimmy, I can’t stand the idea of you being with a man, let alone, Sandburg. He’s not even anyone I would think would be your type.”
“Hey, wait a minute… Why aren’t I his type?” Blair asked seriously.
“Chief, that’s not important right now. Let’s all sit down and talk about this.” Jim tried to lead Carolyn into the living room again, but she wasn’t budging.
“Jimmy, I don’t want to talk to the two of you. I might want to visit with you, but not with him. I hope you understand.”
“Then I hope you understand that I won’t be visiting with you either. It’s the two of us, or not at all.” Jim was ready to let her go now.
“I’m sorry that you had to change your life like this.” Carolyn said as she walked out the door.
“We’re not sorry.” Jim answered quickly and shut the door.
“Man, I can’t believe she just blew you off because you’re sleeping with me. That was harsh.”
“She doesn’t understand, but I haven’t got the time or the patience to explain things to her. She’s a grownup, and should comprehend things. Besides she came for an unannounced visit, it’s not my fault that she caught me still feeling good from the sex we had.”
“You are ‘so’ going to get lucky, man. Get upstairs and out of those clothes right now.” Blair loved thinking he was in charge.
“As you wish…” Jim almost ran up the stairs.
Blair just smiled as he rushed up behind the man he loved more than life itself. He hoped that Jim wouldn’t regret shutting Carolyn out, but for right now, all he could think of was Jim, naked and in bed.
Life was as it should be.
